The Charity Series of Poker has announced a poker fundraiser for next month. The event will take place on December 8 and will benefit the Vegas Golden Knights Foundation, a charity group that provides support to the Las Vegas community. The tournament is open to the public and will be held at the Las Vegas Planet Hollywood.
The day’s festivities kick off at 12 PM with an “official” Golden Knights party. The NHL team will be playing against the Los Angeles Kings and this will be an excellent opportunity to watch the game alongside one of the team’s greatest fans – Daniel Negreanu.
Following the game, the poker tournament will get underway at 4:30 PM following a reception that will start at 3 PM. Negreanu has already confirmed he’ll be playing, as have Matt Savage, John Cynn, Ryan Leng and Jeff Madsen. For fans of Friday the 13th, Kane Hodder, who starred as Jason in a couple of the films, is also expected to play.
The poker tournament will have a buy-in of $300. It includes the event participation, an open bar and food. Rebuys and add-ons will be available for $100 each and the grand prize is a seat at the 2019 WSOP Main Event worth $10,000.
Attendance to the event, for those that don’t want to play in the tournament, are $75. There will be other prizes awarded, as well as a silent auction. The fundraiser is being sponsored by Card Player Magazine, Planet Hollywood, Poker Central, among many others.
