Poker players, both pro and amateur, woke up today and started preparing their minds for the Card Player Poker Tour (CPPT) Choctaw Durant. The series of tournaments gets underway today and will run through April 22. It should prove to be a huge success, given the $1-million main event guarantee.
The first event will be a $240 buy-in NLHE monster stack tournament, with two starting flights and a guaranteed prize pool of $50,000. Tomorrow and Saturday, players can vie for a piece of a $100,000 guarantee in the series’ $125 buy-in NLHE tournament. Next weekend, a $200,000 guarantee will be distributed among the winners of the $240 buy-in NLHE event.
In addition to the NLHE tournaments, there will also be other types of action available. HORSE, Badugi, 2-7 Triple Draw, Omaha Deep Stack events are on the schedule. Additionally, seniors and the ladies can participate in their own NLHE tournaments if they choose, with several events scheduled throughout the series.
The highlight will undoubtedly be the main event. The $1,100 buy-in event will run April 20 and 21 and offers a prize pool of $1 million guaranteed. Satellite tournaments to win a seat at the main event begin today, and players can participate for as little as $65.
