Dover Downs Puts Up $51K in Prizes for December Poker Tournaments

Dover Downs is planning an exciting December for poker players. Delaware’s biggest casino is offering up $51,000 in guaranteed prize pools throughout the month in the casino’s Crown Royal Poker Room.

Dover Downs’ December poker tournament schedule kicks off Friday, December 15 with a $115 buy-in Black Chip Bounty. The following day brings the first big guarantee on the schedule; a $125 buy-in tournament with a $10,000 guarantee.

The tournaments continue throughout the week until Friday, December 29, when Crown Royal will host its second $125 buy-in, $10,000 guaranteed tournament of the month. The following day, December 30, the room posts its most massive guaranteed prize pool of the month; a $20,000 guaranteed tournament with a buy-in of just $200.

Satellite events for the three big tournaments are planned throughout the month. The first satellite is a $20 buy-in on Monday, December 11. In addition to satellite events, the Crown Royal Poker Room is offering a few fun December promotions.

The Cash Back promotion gives players $2 in cash and $1 in comp for each hour they spend in Texas Hold’em cash games. The casino is also offering payouts to players for bad beat hands as low as Jacks Full. Bad Beat payouts range from $300 to $600. They also offer a daily High Hand Contest, and a $100 High Card Bonus.

Tournament entrants can ask for a discounted rate on rooms at the resort hotel, but they must present tournament registration when reserving the room. In addition to a 41-table poker room, Dover Downs offers a variety of table games including blackjack and 3200 gaming machines.
