The event kicks off at 10 AM at Pitbull Powersports in Springfield. Participants are expected to complete the 100-mile scenic run by 3 PM, finishing at The Rock, Pitbull Powersports in Bolivar. Prizes will be given for the best and worst hands. Following the ride, there will be luncheon with an after-party featuring music, raffles and other giveaways and a live auction.
The entry fee is $25 per biker and $10 for each passenger. Participants can register Saturday morning at the starting point, or online at safekidsspringfield.org.
Clark Parmley, who has participated in the poker run since its inception five years ago, said, “It’s miles and miles of beautiful Ozarks to help kids have a safe place to sleep. This year we have a whole new route with a new beginning and new ending. It should prove to be a very interesting ride and be a lot of fun for a good cause.”
