Missouri poker run rescheduled due to storm

A popular poker run scheduled to take place in the Lake of the Ozarks area this weekend has been postponed. The Shootout Li’l Boat & Pontoon Poker Run was originally scheduled to be held this weekend but, thanks to a tropical storm, it has been rescheduled for next weekend. The event’s registration will be held at Captain Ron’s Bar & Grill on September 14.

The event lineup remains the same. It is being sponsored by Border X’pressions and Pontoon & Deck Boat Magazine and there will be a total of 17 stops, including Big Thunder Marina, Nauti Fish, Shady Gators, Coconuts Tap & Grill and Waves and Wheels. The best poker hand will be awarded a Lowe pontoon boat and the first 150 registered boats will be given a “swag bag.” Rave has donated a number of prizes, including stand-up paddleboards, that will be awarded during a raffle.

The poker run was first introduced in 2014 by the owners of Border Xpressions, Jim and Kelli Case. It is open to all boats and pontoons under 32 feet and has become one of the most popular poker runs in the area. The first year, over $3,000 in cash and prizes was awarded; four years later the prize pool has surpassed $10,000.
