In a contest that will end at the end of this month, Daniel Negreanu is looking for the best fan videos. The subject of the short video should center on which charity the fan would play for, and why. Once the competition closes, Kid Poker, along with a panel of judges, will review the entries and reward an impressive prize to the winner.
The top video producer will be given a $30,000 PokerStars Platinum Pass. The pass offers entry into the $25,000 PokerStars Players Championship, which will be held in the Bahamas next January, as well as $5,000 in travel money. It’s Negreanu’s way to give back to the poker community and support charitable causes in the process.
According to a blog post by Negreanu, “To win this Platinum Pass Adventure, create a video no longer than two minutes and 20 seconds (2:20) in which you introduce yourself to us, introduce the charity you want to play for at the PSPC, and tell us exactly why you support this great cause.”
The video needs to be shared via a link on Twitter using the hashtag #DonateWithDaniel. The links also need to be mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. All submissions must be received by September 30.
Negreanu is looking for a video that supports the most worthy cause, but doesn’t provide details on which charities. The contest is similar to one he ran last year, the WSOP staking contest, which awarded three seats to the WSOP Main Event.
