Second annual ATV poker run comes to Arkansas

After a hard week grinding away in the office, it’s always nice to find something exciting and different to do on the weekend. If you’re going to be around Fairfield Bay, AR this Saturday, the community is offering the perfect solution. For the second year in a row, Fairfield Bay is hosting its ATV/UTV poker rally.

The rally kicks off at 9 AM at Woodland Mead Park on Dave Creek Pkwy. Registration begins an hour earlier and is $20 per participant, down from the $25 that was charged last year. There will be a total of eight stops along the way, covering 14,000 acres and offering 90 miles of trails, and prizes will be awarded for the best three hands.

The third place prize is $100 and a four-hour pontoon rental plus $100 will go to the second-best hand. The top prize is a weekend vacation getaway plus $200 in spending money.

According to local resident and UTV enthusiast Jack Weeks, “These trails are the best around, hands-down. We’ve been blessed to live in a beautiful, wooded corner of the Ozarks that I can enjoy while still letting my thrill-seeking, adventure loving side enjoy the Bay.”

The event is sponsored by c2PowerSports out of Conway and proceeds will benefit the Fairfield Bay Volunteer Fire Department. Since you’ll already be in the area, take advantage of Fairfield Bay’s lineup of outdoor activities – such as hiking trails, minigolf and tennis – following the run.
