In addition to its main tour that features the Borgata Poker Open and World Poker Classic, the World Poker Tour runs the WPTDeepStacks. The series includes an international schedule of stops from Russia to New Zealand. In 2019, it will make multiple stops in Florida and at least one stop in Maryland.
The full WPT DeepStacks schedule is not out yet, only the first half of the season. It includes 18 stops over the first six months of the year, making it the densest DeepStacks schedule in history. The series kicks off in Germany at the Spielbank Casino on January 11.
Considered “mid-major” events, the majority of WPTDeepStacks tournaments are priced between $1,200 and $1,500. According to the WPT, this is an “attractive price point” for players from around the globe. The majority of stops on the tour are prominent poker tour venues.
Immediately after leaving Berlin on January 14, the tour heads to Florida for a run at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood from January 17 to 22. The schedule moves on to Russia, Canada, Belgium, and Spain before returning to Jacksonville, Florida in March for an event at Bestbet Jacksonville.
March is a jam-packed month for DeepStack events, with stops in Spain, South Africa, Vietnam, and the Netherlands along with a stint at Live! Hotel and Casino in Maryland on March 22.
The last announced stop on June 13 brings the tour back to the Seminole Hard Rock, but this time to its Tampa casino.
