Hole-Card Replays and $25,500 Buy-Ins: How Americas Cardroom’s Second Mortgage Week Is Redefining High-Stakes Online Poker

A Learning Laboratory for the Poker World’s Most Expensive Decisions

When elite players like Alex Foxen and David Peters sit down at a virtual felt with $25,500 on the line, most poker fans can only imagine what the cards look like. Starting September 21, that changes. Americas Cardroom has announced the return of Second Mortgage Week, a five-day, 10-tournament Nosebleed Stakes series running September 21-28 as part of the $50 million+ OSS XL series, and every final table will be available for replay with hole cards fully exposed.

What the Schedule Looks Like

The format is straightforward: two high-stakes tournaments per playing day, with buy-ins ranging from $5,200 to $25,500. The formats span No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha across both 6-max and 8-max configurations, ensuring variety for competitors and viewers alike.

  • Ten Nosebleed Stakes events across five playing days
  • Buy-ins from $5,200 to $25,500
  • NLH and PLO formats in 6-max and 8-max structures
  • Full hole-card final-table replays available after each event

Sunday, September 27: The Week’s Biggest Moment

The pinnacle of Second Mortgage Week arrives on Sunday, September 27, with a $25,500 NLH 8-Max event. That same day, Day 1B of the $2.5 million guaranteed $2,650 Main Event and the $2 million guaranteed $1,050 Main Event will be running simultaneously, while the $66 buy-in $500,000 guaranteed Main Event advances to Day 2. It is one of the busiest and most consequential days on the entire OSS XL calendar.

The week closes on Monday, September 28, with a $15,400 NLH 8-Max followed by a $5,200 NLH 6-Max Re-Entry event.

Chris Moneymaker on the Value of Watching the Best Play

Americas Cardroom Pro Chris Moneymaker, who won a Nosebleed Stakes event during the last running of Second Mortgage Week, emphasized that the hole-card replay feature transforms these tournaments into something more than just elite competition.

“The great thing about the Nosebleed Stakes events is that you get to watch top-level poker players compete every day,” Moneymaker said. “Players like Americas Cardroom Pro Alex Foxen and David Peters will be in these events. Even better, every final table can now be watched with the hole cards exposed, so aspiring players, fans and recreational players can go back, study the action and see how these absolute crushers play. I won one last time around, and I’m looking forward to doing it again.”

The Broader OSS XL Context

Second Mortgage Week does not exist in isolation. OSS XL runs September 6-29, featuring 336 events and more than $50 million in total guarantees. Beyond the tournament schedule, the series distributes more than $60,000 in added cash and tournament tickets through three separate leaderboard tiers, giving grinders at every buy-in level a reason to stay engaged throughout the series.
